Our Philosophy

It is the philosophy of the Academy that all youth are deserving of trauma-informed, therapeutic treatment and education; and that all youth are unique with individual treatment needs. Academy staff will guide youth through an individualized, comprehensive program that is based off treatment goals which are made to fit the unique needs of each youth.

The Academy believes that taking part in recreational activities, particularly outdoors, can improve your physical wellness. Participating in leisure and recreation activities can help you better manage stress and reduce depression. These staff led activities include intramural sports; movies; off-campus outings such as bowling, roller skating, biking, picnics; arts and crafts; use of two on-site gyms and 82 acres outdoor recreation area; as well as other seasonal recreation activities.
